In anticipation of NASA awarding the Human Landing System (HLS) Sustaining Lunar Development (SLD) contract in the near future, Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking an Integrated Engine Test Engineer to promote HLS and other programs as part of a diverse team that develops lunar landers, other cislunar spacecraft, and a wide range of critical technologies for civil, military, and commercial space programs. The System Test and Evaluation Engineering Lead will be accountable for guiding the planning and implementation of production acceptance and integrated system level testing and certification for the Dynetics Human Lander System.

Examples include:

  • Using system necessities to generate test plans for development, qualification, and production acceptance phases and system level integration testing and certification
  • Developing schematics and test facility layouts, working with project engineers and test technicians to establish a procurement of test equipment
  • Develop/obtain test equipment or Special Test Equipment
  • Configure/Install hardware in appropriate test configuration
  • Creating test procedures to satisfy approved test plans
  • Conducting tests according to approved procedures
  • Performing test data study
  • Completing necessary verification and validation documentation and reports.

The person will interface with department management, Integrated Product Team leader and project engineers/managers, mechanical designers, analysts, component engineers, other test engineers, systems engineers, safety, and quality with Dynetics

Basic Qualifications

  • The position requires a B.S. or equivalent degree in engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or systems engineering with at least twelve (12) years of space hardware-related work history
  • Candidate will have at least twelve (12) years direct work history in role as detailed above with an engineering company or system integrator where design, testing, and/or modification of aerospace systems was involved.
  • Candidate will have demonstrated expertise in analysis of necessities and design verification objectives for testability and test development.
  • The position requires travel, including periods of frequent travel for critical program assembly, integration, and test activities.

The position is based in Huntsville, AL, so candidates will live or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.
