Key Objective(s):
Store Retail Manager provides guidance and direction to the store team members to ensure operational effectiveness and profitability in the areas of Guest satisfaction, Team Member development, Merchandising, Inventory, Cash control, HR, Safety, Asset protection and Expense control.

The Retail Store Manager serves as a role model and coach and are responsible for building strong teams by helping team Members understand their roles specific to Guest service and ensuring consistent execution of Company initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manage the financial performance of the business unit including sales, profitability, and key metrics through proper and ethical in-store operations.
  • Manage and control P&L, including shrink controls.
  • Oversee merchandising standards including replenishment and bringing the stores to life.
  • Partner with the brands to cascade guest feedback to use for product enhancements and development.
  • Drive revenue and create unique events to drive sales.
  • Develop new initiatives by staying current on emerging merchandise trends, store displays, and new experiences.
  • Provide sound business analysis to support direction and decisions.
  • Manage annual inventory reconciliation process.
  • Maintain awareness of retail trends and competition and provide feedback to the brands with shops in the space.
  • Develop and strengthen vendor business relationships.
  • Coach and develop leadership staff members and team members.
  • Conduct daily, weekly and monthly staff meetings with all Team Members.
  • Provide regular performance feedback to direct reports.
  • Clearly communicate Company vision, mission, and values.
  • Energize and engage team members and encourage selling skills to delight the guest.
  • Create and manage weekly team member schedule to ensure coverage meets guests needs.
  • Manage team member staffing schedules to align with budget and sales traffic.
  • Drive sales through proper standards in Guest service, merchandising, promotional activity, and well-trained team members.
  • Recruit, train and retain team member to budgeted staffing model.
  • Orientate and on-board all new Team Members.
  • Additional responsibilities upon request.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of retail management experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and technical skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and cross-functional environment
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt to change in fast paced environment
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office)
Physical Job Requirements:
  • Stand/Walk for extended periods of time (90%)
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
SCHEDULE:
  • Flexible, includes days, evenings, and weekends. Sundays are mandatory.
