We are seeking a Speech Therapist to join our team! You will provide speech language intervention for students in grades PK - 12 fromm assessment to implementation.

ESSENTIAL TASKS:

• Administer and interpret language based assessments
• Schedule, plan, and facilitate intervention groups
• Collaborate with teachers and administration to meet the needs of students
• Maintain accurate student records
• Communicate regularly and effectively with parents
• Collaborate with private speech therapists on the implementation of alternative communication systems including AAC devices
• Facilitate the training of teachers on alternative communication systems including AAC devices
• Perform related tasks as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Master’s Degree in Communicative Disorders or related field
• Appropriate licensing
• Knowledge and understanding of neurodivergent learners
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Desire to work as a member of a team
• Commitment to strong parent and student relationships
• Excellent record keeping skills
• Knowledge of and experience with alternative communication systems including AAC devices
• An understanding of communication deficits of students with ASD and other social cognition diagnoses
• An understanding of best practices regarding the instruction of students with varying degrees of Apraxia
• Supportive and flexible disposition

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
