Job Description: Operations Manager

You will directly supervise and manage the scheduling activities, dispatch, and Partner/Client Services support. In addition you will be expected to carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work with schedulers to identify critical paths and to make judgements about the impact of schedule dependencies across the program.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions to leaders and team members with how to improve the schedule management process and develop automations and other innovations to increase the productivity of collection and reporting of Earned Value data.
  • Responsible for managing the dispatch functions of one or more dedicated fleet operations to ensure the efficient and effective movement of our customers' products.
  • Oversee dispatchers by training and providing the tools the team needs to be successful as well as oversee daily operations of the dispatch process while ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
  • Efficiently manage routing changes and organize resources to make sure deliveries and services are completed in a timely fashion.
  • Manage the Partner Support Specialist who is responsible for direct communication with B2B Partners regarding open cases and moving the pipeline along in a timely fashion.
  • Liaise between partners and internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our services according to our partner needs and commitments.
  • Stay current on partner expectations and communicate with partners while relaying any changes to internal management.
  • Work closely with the Director of Sales and Marketing ensuring that our B2C pipeline and KPI’s are being achieved.
  • Working closely with the Director of Construction in identifying issues and develop solutions.
  • Communicating issues within respective departments.
  • Assisting the Director of Construction with Inventory Control to ensure the highest level of inventory accuracy possible.
  • Assist Dispatch and Office Managers by tracing history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with executive-level management in the development of performance goals and long-term operational plans.
  • Plan, monitor, and analyze key metrics for the day-to-day performance of the operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks.
  • Solve complex problems that deviate from established procedures, in coordination with other company organizations.
  • Analyze current operational processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement when necessary.
  • Tracks productivity and qualifies performance by individual, function, and department.
  • Ensure effective operational governance, procedures, tools, and financial controls are established and maintained.
  • Monitor and manage Key Performance Indicators and cost factors impacting operational effectiveness.
  • Makes self available to staff; Maintains frequent communication with all team members, Provides regular performance feedback; Develops subordinates' skills and encourages growth; continually works to improve supervisory skills.
  • Partner with customer, internal and external resources as necessary to identify, evaluate and remove safety obstacles.
Qualifications:
  • 3 - 5 years relevant experience, preferably in solar energy or home services.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • A bachelor's degree is recommended but not required.
  • A degree in Logistics, Transportation Management, or Business or equivalent work experience strongly desired.
  • Ability to understand financial models and the potential impact of operations on investments.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on task completion is critical.
  • Ability to manage time extremely well and quickly sense when an issue needs to be discussed or triaged.
  • Ability to be self-motivated and perform job tasks in a relatively unstructured environment with little supervision.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Experience managing or analyzing the critical path of a task network.
  • Speech/Reading: Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently and deliver a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Bilingual recommended but not required.
  • Previous experience in management and/or a culture development will receive preference.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, directing, communicating change and developing a team strongly desired.
  • Strong skill base and comfort with technology including GSuite or Equivalent,CRM, and routing or dispatching systems.
  • Previous experience with Salesforce or Field Service will receive preference as well.
  • Additional duties may be assigned, and functions may be modified, according to business necessity.
Compensation:
  • $100,000 - $120,000 based on experience.
