Procurement Specialist

Mendon Truck Leasing and Rental is part of the Division of GROUPE PETIT FORESTIER, the leader company in the rental of refrigeration equipment in Europe. In accordance with the company’s expansion plan, we are hiring a Procurement Specialist to work in our Headquarter Location (Kingsland Avenue. Brooklyn, NY).

This role reports to the Director of the US Business Unit and is in close contact with the Group Purchasing Director. You will be in charge of the OPEX and CAPEX purchasing families for the US BU.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Developing focused Procurement Strategies by identifying opportunities, defining current processes, designing new process, identifying benchmarks/metrics and making recommendations for improvements.
• Leading and delivering new purchasing processes by developing project plans, selecting vendors, negotiating contracts, leading teams, and implementing new and improved processes.
• Manage and monitor Supplier relationship by setting goals and objectives and measuring achievement.
• Supporting Fleet Manager and Branch Managers as a team member with their projects and initiatives as needed.
• Leading local partnerships, ensuring negotiations and contracting with a permanent core for reducing costs/Optimization.
• Building and retaining varied and international panel of suppliers relations.
• Provide the latest in procurement technology and methods by looking at new products and methods that will meet the needs of the business.
• Ensuring the drafting and follow-up of the various purchase orders with CAPEX suppliers (chassis manufacturers, suppliers of refrigeration units, tailgates and bodybuilders), or any other equipment related to the production of a new vehicle for the needs of the BU US.
• Drafting and follow-up of the various purchase orders with CAPEX suppliers.

Qualifications:

• Have significant experience in purchasing and/or have solid knowledge of the CAPEX.
• Very results-oriented, rigorous and autonomous.
• Specific knowledge requirements include Procurement Strategies, Project Management, Financial Administration, Process improvement/design, Petit Forestier Infrastructures, and the latest procurement strategies and technologies.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required (Bachelor's Degree is preferred).
• 2-4 years of procurement process management and development is preferred.
• High level of negotiation skills are required.
• Must have the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Ability to establish relationships with suppliers and provider networks is essential.
• Must be proficient in MS Excel & PowerPoint presentations.
• Some experience in Salesforce is preferred.
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year

Education:

• Bachelor's (Preferred)
