THIS POSITION IS LOCATED AT OUR BREAST & GYN PAVILION ATTACHED TO WOMAN'S HOSPITAL IN BATON ROUGE
Scope: Under general supervision, is responsible for checking in medical oncology patients by following check-in policies and procedures; manages and directs incoming phone calls to the clinic; business office liaison for the centralized registration area of the clinic.
Functions:
- Checking in and/or queuing medical oncology patients by following check-in policies and procedures
- New patient referrals
- Handles incoming phone calls to the clinic
- Patient scheduling
- Serves as the business office liaison for the centralized registration area of the clinic
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in patient registration
- Medical scheduling experience a plus; EPIC software
- Knowledge of insurance benefits, authorization process & contracting required
- ICD9/10 and CPT coding knowledge a plus
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid & private payer practices desired
