Summit Supportive Communities’ mission is to serve individuals with traumatic and acquired brain injuries and their families, as a community-based alternative to institutional care. We provide long-term care in beautiful homes in residential neighborhoods. Summit Supportive Communities services are based on the principle that full inclusion and participation in community life is attainable for every individual with an acquired or traumatic brain injury. Summit Supportive Communities serves citizens throughout the State of Colorado.

Objective: We are looking for an organized, eager, and autonomous person to take on a multitude of tasks with enthusiasm. This position exists to provide direct assistance, support, and training for persons with brain injury and behavioral health concerns in order to increase independence and meet each person’s identified needs and goals in the least restrictive environment.

Reports to: Executive Director and/or assigns.

Minimum Age Requirement: 18 years old

Availability: Day, Evening and overnight shift

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Training and developing resident’s life skills (Enabling them to become more independent)
• Assist resident with showering, toileting, dressing
• Able to complete administrative tasks
• Administering resident medication
• Timely completion of all assigned daily tasks
• Complying with all policies/procedures
• Maintenance of indoor and outdoor areas
• Reporting safety risks/concerns immediately
• Function as a Mandatory Reporter for residents
• Establish caring and supportive relationships with each resident
• Reliable and timely to each shift
• Good communicator

Qualifications:

• QMAP certification preferred but not required
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred but not required
• An acceptable CBI Background Check Verification
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record and vehicle
• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to twist, turn, squat, bend, reach, pull, push from high/low position, raise arms above the shoulder, walk, sit (chair and floor), climb stairs, use hands and fingers
• Speak and write English
• Basic reading/writing skills

Location: South Denver, CO

Compensation and Benefits:

• $17-$19/hr salary DOE
