Soil Building Systems Inc. is a very well established, stable and reputable company of 50 years, yet we continue to experience significant growth. We are a major wholesale manufacturer and supplier of organic materials to the landscaping and construction industries, municipalities, and the public. No layoffs or slowdowns during COVID ("Essential company").

Position Description:

We are immediately seeking a qualified and dynamic candidate for a full-time job in the areas of full-charge accounting / bookkeeping, human resources and financial oversight. The winning candidate must be meticulous, accurate and efficient; a serious team player with a successful track record; and come with good references. Staying organized, on top of this domain and independently getting work done on time is critical.

Position Requirements:

* Minimum of 8 years experience in accounting/bookkeeping/human resources

* Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks and Excel

* All aspects of in-house payroll processing

* Total proficiency with taxing entities (sales tax, employment tax, etc.)

* Professional attitude, self-motivated, results driven

* Ability to multitask and make things happen – follow-up and follow-through is key

* Must possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills

* Must possess the skills to jump in and hit the ground running

* Must be a happy individual with the ability to get along with others

Duties:

Financial Oversight: Oversight into full customer transaction lifecycle, transaction auditing and financial integrity.

Bookkeeping/Accounting: Will include but not limited to A/R, A/P, in-house payroll processing, bank accounts and merchant account reconciliations, sales tax filings, managing aging, light collections, and payroll tax related reports. Must be proficient with handling 940, 941, W-2, W-3, EFTPS, 401K deductions and processing, wage garnishing, health care coordination and provider interface, credit checks, etc. Knowledge of lien notices processing helpful.

Human Resources: Will include but not limited to hiring, firing, maintaining employee policies and procedures handbook, coordinate unemployment claims, disciplinary and coaching practices, and being completely discrete. Onboarding processing and paperwork management.
