We are seeking an experienced Billing Specialist who will help us, as we are growing. We are looking for a focused, self-motivated billing specialist who pays attention to details and keeps meticulous records. The billing specialist will be responsible for the entire billing cycle, including: billing, posting payments and maintaining the accounts receivable aging for our New Jersey based programs.

Billing Specialist Duties and Responsibilities

  • Communicate and coordinate with program supervisors to ensure all billing grids are submitted with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Review weekly and monthly billing grids for appropriate documentation. Once reviewed will be responsible for billing the services into our electronic system.
  • Manage weekly the client fees of all residential individuals. This will include utilizing the various systems and recording information for our General Ledger department.
  • Maintaining the Accounts Receivable Aging for all programs and working with the programs to reconcile any outstanding accounts receivable.
  • Monthly deadlines to ensure that all billing has been accounted for and entered into the various systems.
  • Record and post all remittances on a monthly basis.
  • Work with the team on any additional responsibilities that develop based on program expansion and the needs of the department.

Requirements:

  • BA or BS
  • 1 - 2 years ID/DD or related social service experience preferred
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50 - $16.85 per hour
