Lockheed Martin Space in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Software Engineering intern In this role, you will collaborate with project leads and System Engineers for software architecture decisions, participate in technical reviews and audits of software products and utilize model-based design approaches. Support development of complex system internal and external interfaces. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of performing software engineering lifecycle requirements following the program Software Development Plan (SDP) to include requirements analysis, object-oriented analysis & design (OOD), code & unit test, integration, and support to formal test and delivery.

Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
Actively enrolled in a Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering or other related degree program from an accredited college/university.

This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen.
Desired Skills:
Familiarity with real-time development environments and languages (C, C++). Experience with MATLAB, Simulink. Experience or classroom knowledge with embedded software/hardware. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
