Yard Attendant Job Description
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This is a hands-on position requiring you to work outside. The yard attendant is responsible for
providing maintenance to equipment, assisting customers with loading and unloading products,
and keeping the yard and buildings in clean working condition.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Includes the following and other duties may
be assigned)
- Deliver fertilizer and chemicals to customers.
- Move products between locations.
- Keep NH3 tanks full.
- Mix and blend chemicals and fertilizer for application.
- Load and unload liquid fertilizer and chemicals.
- Have the mechanical ability to do minor repairs and perform scheduled maintenance on
equipment.
- Keep records of facility and equipment maintenance.
- Assist customers with fertilizer and chemical purchases.
- Work with minimal supervision to complete projects.
- Keep the yard and any buildings clean and free from debris.
- Maintains and promotes safety awareness; follows safety policies, procedures, and
reporting requirements.
- The ability to lift or move 50 pounds and occasionally more is required.
