Abode Services, :one of the largest and effective nonprofits working to end homelessness in the Bay Area, is seeking a skilled Warehouse Material Handler :for our Bay Area Furniture Bank site.
SUMMARY: The BAFB warehouse material handler works is the BAFB warehouse in Sunnyvale. This position includes assisting with moving furniture within the warehouse, spraying/tagging all incoming donations and entering them into inventory and unloading/organizing donations. Through our Sunnyvale location and partnerships with over 100 social service agencies, public schools, and faith communities, BAFB helps on average 75 families every month to stabilize their lives by providing them with the basics that turn their housing into more comfortable, functional homes.

How You Make an Impact:
- Obtain schedule for the day from the Operations Manager
- Load truck with items to be delivered from staging area.
- Go on daily deliveries and lift furniture from truck to various locations throughout local area. May mean lifting furniture upstairs.
- When truck arrives from deliveries and pickups, unload truck
- Clean furniture with cleaning solutions and refurbish as needed.
- Clean interior of truck cab and box weekly or more if needed
- Ensure warehouse is clean
- Other duties as assigned
How You Meet the Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- At least 18+ years old
- Must be able to safety lift 75lbs.
- Strong attention to detail
- Must have a can-do attitude
- Must be able to be punctual and reliable
