General Purpose: The Material Handler is based at the South Hackensack, NJ Distribution Center. This position plays a key role in assuring that stock is available to fulfill sales orders in a timely manner. Also referred to as Inventory Control associate, their work includes stock- movement, consolidation, replenishment and Cycle Counts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preform Inventory movement three facilities
  • Load and unload inventory from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and production areas
  • Perform cycle counts per customer service requests
  • Maintain stock levels in three different buildings based on data provided by the Inventory Control Group
  • Process inventory transfers between the carousel and Dematic in WMS
  • Performs product audits, re-label for order discrepancies
  • Manage inventory by identifying, cataloging, and recording the location of inventory
  • Assists Quality in review and disposition of all returned items
  • Replenish material from two storage buildings to the main distribution facility
  • Operate various machinery including equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, box truck and electric pallet jack.
  • Put away all materials staged in the processing zone

Education/Experience Required:

  • High school diploma, Warehouse and Inventory control: 2 years (Required)

Computer Skills Necessary:

  • Microsoft Office, SAP, WMS and Dematic is a plus

Physical Demands/Requirements:

  • Physical work (ability to lift up to 75 pounds)and routine audits in the warehouse.
  • Availability to work overtime including Saturdays
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) forklift certification is an advantage
  • Excellent time management and organization skills

Work Environment:

  • Warehouse and office on occasion.
