The Vice President of Operations is a highly influential and key Tyndale leader. They oversee multiple locations and departments across a growing organization and have significant impact on future Company direction and strategy. The VP of Operations has total budget and P&L accountability, including oversight of directors with specific departmental ownership. Tyndale’s Operations are comprised of our Distribution, Supply, Forecasting, Manufacturing, Warehousing & Transportation, and Embellishments teams. The Vice President of Operations works closely with business leadership to ultimately drive operational efficiency, increase revenue and margins, and to promote innovation achieving business results while prioritizing a safe and productive working environment.

Hybrid/Remote: Tyndale supports a strong work/life balance. This is a hybrid work environment, requiring on-site work at least 3 days per week. To be considered, ideal candidates must be based near Pipersville, PA (Bucks County) or Houston, TX (Harris County). As a Senior Tyndale leader, frequent visibility and accessibility to the team is a key requirement.

Travel Requirements:

Quarterly travel to the non-base distribution center will be required. Occasional travel to vendors and factories within the US and internationally is required.

Accountabilities and Job Activities:

  • Executive leadership of Tyndale’s supply chain, including direct management of our Director of Supply, Director of Manufacturing and Director of Forecasting;
  • Executive leadership of Tyndale’s distribution centers (located in Pipersville, PA and Houston, TX.) with approximately 200+ employees working collaboratively with reporting Directors to set/monitor goals, and to define and communicate strategy and ongoing development for each department achieving desired results;
  • Planning and execution of future distribution assets and establishing an infrastructure allowing the Company to double in size in the coming 5 years;
  • Accountability for Supply Chain key success metrics including availability of product, cost of product and quality of product, both from manufactures that Tyndale distributes, and internally sourced (contract manufactured and Tyndale-branded) items;
  • Accountability for Distribution key success metrics including speed of fulfillment, efficiency/cost of fulfillment, and accuracy of fulfillment;
  • Detailed budgeting and profit and loss management are key responsibilities of this role;
  • Leverage technical systems/software to deliver customized fulfillment profiles to unique customer requests;
  • Optimize inventory levels and coordinate efforts between Supply, Manufacturing and Forecasting for fast delivery and efficient financial investment;
  • Expand international sourcing and distribution opportunities to support Tyndale’s strategic growth initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Masters in Business Administration (MBA) required;
  • 10+ years of Supply Chain, Distribution or Logistics leadership experience is required;
  • Leadership and management experience with at least 200 direct or indirect reports required;
  • Oversight of annual labor budget of $10 million + required;
  • Power-user in logistics and/or warehouse management software required (Sage MAS 500 accounting system, Deposco warehouse management System, John Galt forecasting software and proprietary internally developed inventory management software).
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel is required.
