As an “Exceptions Associate I” for the Exception team, you will be a key member of the AvidXchange utility operations team. As part of the utility service, we are responsible for examining utility bills to resolve all processing exceptions. This includes ensuring that all captured data and payments are accurately posted to the AvidUtility database.

  • Researching, analyzing and correcting errors in utility bills
  • Reaching out to client with Exceptions related questions
  • Responsible for resolving notices for customer accounts in internal databases
  • Resolving late fees on customer accounts by contacting utility companies for waivers or reductions
  • 2+ years of previous customer service or related experience required
  • Demonstrated ability to learn a new product quickly and thoroughly
  • Excellent Organizational skills
  • Experienced at sharing knowledge and efficiencies cross functionally
  • Successful experience working directly with customers to resolve complex issues
  • Proven experience with conceptualizing problems and mastering skills
  • Proven experience proactively preventing issues across the organization
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Web Based applications
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Proven ability to problem solve
  • Adept at multi-tasking
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Utility industry preferred
