Position Summary:

We are looking for an organized and motivated Solar Field Superintendent for our Solar Operations department. The Solar Field Superintendent will perform a wide variety of electrical operations duties. The ideal candidate will be motivated, dedicated, and a team player. In addition, the ideal candidate will have high attention to detail and a genuine care to his/her craftsmanship.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily QA/QC inspections of field personnel and subcontractors to ensure proper workmanship and overall job quality
• Conduct weekly safety inspections of field personnel to ensure all field personnel are following proper safety protocols
• Train and educate field personnel in company's best practices
• Work with field personnel and construction management to maximize installation efficiency
• Create training protocols as deemed necessary to correct installation deficiencies
• Elevate installation standards and quality to create a 95% first time inspection pass rate
• Be available for emergency field calls when required
• Job will be primarily field based and candidate will be expected to work hand in hand with field personnel and get on roofs as needed

Qualifications:

• Extensive knowledge of solar industry, electrical codes, and OSHA requirements
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working in construction, preferably in the solar or roofing industry
• Minimum 3 years of experience in residential electrical
• Ability to work independently and with minimal direction/oversight
• Previous experience with ground mounted systems and battery installations
• Valid CA driver’s license
• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time
• Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly on telephone
• Must be able to climb ladders and stairs regularly, and be comfortable with heights of at least 20 feet and walking on all roof types
• Able to work in various weather conditions and in extreme temperatures
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly

Pay Rate: $65,000 - $95,000 per yr Depending on Experience

• Good problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize work and work under sensitive time restraints
• Exceptional customer service and verbal communication skills
