Overview:
Reporting to the Fixed Income Tech Lead, this position will be working with our project teams and directly with our traders. Here you will regularly be working with and presenting to senior SME at the bank. The role requires the individual to have a proactive and positive approach, client-facing and interpersonal skills and can work collaboratively with the Development organization.
The anticipated salary range for this role is between $75,000 and $150,000. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. As a result of this expansion, we are seeking an experienced Software Developer to join our Nikko Securities Technology team.

- Work with Fixed Income sales and traders to design and develop an innovative trading platform and build out APIs to integrate our bank with third-party trading platforms
- Work with project managers, business analysts, developers, infra teams across multiple project initiatives
- Provide architectural and design ideas across multiple trading platforms
- Support application design, development, and implementation of trading platforms
- Perform code reviews with team members to ensure architectural standards are adhered to
- 4-10 years of professional experience, preferably with experience in the financial services industry.
- In this position the individual will be focused on Python development. Prior hands on development experience with Python, Java or C#/.NET will be preferred.
- Knowledge of Bloomberg TOMS, MarketAxess, ION, or other third-party trading platforms is a plus
- Having an understanding of or prior experience with fixed income products and operations would be helpful.
- Experience with cloud deployment and tool chains is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, as well as verbal and written communication skills.
