Educational Programs Attendant (Farmstead)
Job description
The City of Overland Park has part-time and temporary Educational Programs Attendant positions available at the Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead.
Responsibilities : Conducts and administers activities in the Barber Shop, Blacksmith Shop, Photo Parlor, Indian Encampment, School House, Dairy Barn, General Store, Educational Pavilion and/or Bank and teaches historical subject matter
Requirements : Basic high school education or equivalent with an emphasis in teaching, childcare or youth camps. No previous experience is required. Teaching background is preferred. Experience with animals is also beneficial. No City residency requirement.
Must successfully pass a background check, drug screen, and physical.
Normal Work Hours: 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., work days to be determined by supervisor to cover 7 day operation. The Farmstead is open from April 1 to November 1.
Rate of Pay: $12.00/hr.-$15.00/hr.
