Job Summary

Global Trade Marketing dba Ziglift Material Handling is one of the nation’s leading independent Storage Solutions companies. We have an immediate opening for a Shipping & Receiving Admin. Ziglift has five branch locations in four states that specializes in providing innovative and cost-effective storage solutions for our customers.

The Shipping & Receiving Admin will be responsible for ensuring a smooth warehouse shipping/receiving operation. They will serve as the first point of contact for all drivers entering the facility to verify proper transaction number communication and coordination. They will control the communication from when the outbound orders (SOs) are staged to when they are loaded on the outbound trailer. They will also be responsible for recording the inventory movement and tracking paperwork for all sales orders (SOs), purchase orders (POs), and inventory transfers. This individual needs to be organized, deadline oriented, and exhibit excellent team-player skills.

• Reports directly to the Rialto Branch Manager.
• Works closely with the Rialto warehouse staff and communicates heavily with the Santa Fe Springs transportation team.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Be the first point of contact for all drivers entering the facility.
• Coordinate with Warehouse Lead to ensure that drivers are directed to correct area (inside/outside) where product is staged (SO) or will be staged (PO).
• Communicate transaction details with drivers to ensure correct SO # shipment and PO # receiving.
• Print and/or prepare shipping documents for all company driver routes, will calls, and outside carriers.
• Ensure all driver paperwork is filled out in-full, gathered, and distributed to the next employee in the process (INV Processor/Purchasing Administrator) once Ziglift driver routes are completed.
• Managing and maintaining the shipping/receiving logs to ensure accuracy and visibility.
• Process material transfers by moving part #’s and corresponding quantities systematically in QuickBooks to/from the “In-transit” bucket.
• Provide order status updates, as requested, to sales/CSR team.
• Accurately recording product availability on the site inventory spreadsheet as SOs are processed, as product enters the facility, and as product leaves the facility.
• Provide shipping specifications (dimensions and weights), as requested, to transportation/sales/CSR team.
• Process and label all outbound UPS/FedEx shipments through the corresponding website.
• Communicate truck service reports and truck statuses to Santa Fe Springs transportation team after service is completed by our fleet service vendor, Managed Mobile.
• Assist in monitoring mileage, updating statuses, and servicing company pick-up trucks.
• Provide order status updates, as requested, to sales/CSR team.
• Provide shipping specifications (dimensions and weights), as requested, to transportation/sales/CSR team.
• Assist in resolving operational issues to meet customer and company needs.
• Any additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

Previous industry experience preferred (Pallet Racking & Material Handling Systems)
