Senior Finance Manager - Pricing Strategy, Learning Services
About the Role
The Senior Finance Manager (SFM), Pricing Strategy leads pricing, bundling, and promotional efforts across Chegg’s Learning Services global product portfolio. The SFM takes the lead on complex monetization and pricing projects, considering consumer insights, company goals, and qualitative/quantitative analyses to deliver great value to our customers and grow revenues.
Key partners include Business Operations, Product, Marketing, and Engineering teams. The SFM collaborates with leaders to lead research, develop recommendations, run experiments, and launch new services or optimize current offers.
Reporting to the Sr. Director, Commercial Finance, the SFM influences across all levels: within the Finance team, cross-functional partners, leadership, and executives. Therefore, the SFM is in a highly visible role and is comfortable in a fast-paced and high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead pricing and promotional initiatives for new products and services across the Learning Services global portfolio.
  • Analyze and improve existing pricing models through experimentation, customer research, and collaboration with Business Operations leaders.
  • Collaborate with Product, Product Marketing, and Business Operations to improve the launch of new services and promotions and deliver great value to Chegg customers.
  • Propose and evaluate the results of elasticity experiments and research projects to optimize monetization strategies across the portfolio, domestically and internationally.
  • Identify opportunities for new pricing, promotions, and bundling strategies that will contribute to our strategic goals and revenue growth.
  • Lead competitive pricing analysis, pricing research, and other relevant analyses to inform pricing recommendations.
  • Develop standardized, repeatable monetization KPIs, and work with Analytics to create dashboards and reports to uncover key trends, performance, issues, behaviors, and metrics.
Desired Experience and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience; MBA preferred but not required.
  • 7+ years of experience in developing pricing, bundling, and promotions; direct-to-consumer SaaS experience preferred but not required.
  • Excellent organization and project management skills, ability to demonstrate experience working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and multiple, competing priorities.
  • Superior analytical skills and strategic thinking, with demonstrated ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Strong research skills, with experience performing customer segmentation, price elasticity analysis, competitive intelligence, and ROI analysis.
  • Superb attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Demonstrated high energy/creativity, a relentless customer focus, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
The pay range for this position is $112,375 to $278,261. The actual pay will vary based on geographic location, job requirements, professional experience, and other factors.
