The Senior Engineer will assist with engineering, assembling, and testing communications equipment the government owns, possesses, or acquires.

Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assist in ensuring operational readiness, maintenance, integration, troubleshooting, and engineering support for existing communications equipment. Assist in developing, reviewing, revising, and publishing Concepts of Operations (CONOPS), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training guides/manuals, and/or User Guides for continuity communications equipment or associated peripheral equipment for use by technical and non-technical staff.
• Provide equipment troubleshooting and maintenance to ensure operational readiness of communications equipment and connection pathways.Assist with periodic communications equipment testing in accordance with testing program parameters and policies.
• Assist with the transport of equipment, to include rotation among communications nodes.
• Provide engineering support to assess any capability gaps between existing equipment, OSTP/OMB D-16-1 compliance standards, and emerging technologies. General types of deliverables include proposed courses of action, system concepts, design documentation, capability briefings, and technical specifications.
• Assist the Government with COMSEC support. This includes but is not limited to periodic inventories, transportation of equipment, maintenance, changing of COMSEC keys, and coordination with the National Security Agency on periodic audits and reviews.
• Assist with proposal development, if necessary.
• Perform other duties, as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Experience:

• Ten (10) plus years’ experience with a strong emphasis in the following areas:Ultra-High Frequency (UHG) Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Equipment (voice and data)

High Frequency (HG) Automated Link Establishment (ALE) Equipment (voice);
Small SATCOM Equipment (voice)
Platform Information Technology (PIT), (Up to SCI) equipment (voice, video, data)
Iridium Satellite Phone Equipment (voice)
Radio Extension Equipment (e.g., Radio remote equipment configuration)
Defense Enterprise Office Solution (DEOS), (Up to SCI) equipment (voice, video, data)
Portable Infrastructure Travel Kit (PITK), (Up to SCI) equipment (voice and video)
Crisis Management System (DMS), (Up to SCI) equipment (voice and video); and,
Secure Voice System support

Education:

• Master’s Degree in business or technical field OR equivalent experience.

Other Required Skills & Abilities:

• Must be able to effectively communicate with customer and fulfill all duties and responsibilities as listed in the contract.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite including, but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of systems engineering life cycle and associated documentation (project plans, business cases, requirements documents, test plans, reports, etc.).
• Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Security Clearance:

• Top Secret / SCI security clearance required.

US Citizenship: This position supports a U.S. Government Contract whose terms require Sawdey Solution Services to staff it only with U.S. Citizens.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $98,703.96 - $145,174.98 per year
