$24-$31 HR

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Staff Accountant maintains the GL and corresponding subledgers as well as assists in all aspects of month-end close with preparation of monthly financial statements to be presented to the Board of Directors. Maintains various Finance schedules including Fixed Assets, Prepaids & Loan Schedules. Tracks and posts monthly Grants & Contracts, along with their draws. Assist in reconciling and submitting quarterly Wrap-around Reports and miscellaneous projects within the Finance Department.

REQUIREMENTS & PREFERENCES:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred
A minimum of two (2) years of experience in general accounting
Ability to analyze, apply cost accounting procedures and utilize statistical information
Experience with General Ledger and Accounts Payable Applications on a computerized system
Ability to utilize computer applications, database, and word processing programs
Experienced with Microsoft Office products including Excel and Word
Familiar with Pivots, V-Lookups
Great Plains, Management Report Writer Experience a plus

JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Responsible for the maintenance of the General Ledger
Responsible for reconciling the Balance Sheet accounts monthly
Controls and maintains fixed asset inventory and records and maintains depreciation schedule
Works closely with Finance Team during month-end closing procedures to post and update prepaid schedules, loan schedules, intercompany transactions, accruals, and other month-end closing needs
Assists in the compilation of financial statements prepared for the Board of Directors and Finance Committee to include budgeted –vs- actual P&L’s
Tracks and reports monthly Grants and Contracts, along with their draws
Assists in maintaining permanent books for the company's foundation
Maintains an open line of communication with leadership team on the status of MCR operations and key performance indicators as it relates to areas of assigned responsibility
Obtains and maintains any identified certifications

Completes day-to-day tasks to assure smooth operation of company
