NOTE - we are also hiring PART TIME officers, who will work 2 consecutive overnight shifts (16 hours). The part-time officers will also have the ability to pick up extra work, as they wish.

Axiom is currently hiring for Security Officers for a residential contract in Alexandria (near I 395 and King Street). Shifts are WED/THU (2100-0500) and FRI/SAT (2300-0700).

The site is a residential apartment/condo building, with parking areas, garages, and common areas. The officer must be willing to walk and patrol in all weather conditions.

The successful candidate will (not exhaustive list)
- patrol at random intervals, throughout the building and outside
- respond to incidents, emergencies, and calls for service, such as fire, medical and enforcement issues
- issue property/condo citations to vehicles in violation of parking rules
- interact with residents, visitors, and vendors in a calm, competent, professional manner
- deter, prevent, and as necessary, interdict criminal activity, in conjunction with local law enforcement personnel
- detect and mitigate, if possible, safety issues
- compile patrol reports, maintenance reports, and incident reports

The successful candidate must:
1) be eligible to work in the United States
2) have a valid vehicle drivers license
3) have or be able to obtain a Virginia DCJS unarmed security license (with potential promotion to Special Conservator of the Peace)
4) have or be able to obtain certification in OC, handcuffing, and baton
5) have certification in first aide/CPR/AED
6) be willing to work overnight (9pm to 5am or 11pm to 7am)
7) have reliable transportation
8) be able to work in all weather conditions, and be able to perform all duties without accommodation, in occasionally dangerous situations/scenarios
9) have at least one year in security, military, public safety, or other related field

Start Date: Within next 1 week

Training: Paid (not counting non-lethal recertification/certification classes)

Pay: 16.60/hour, with performance review and raise (if review is positive) in 60 days
