Job Summary:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Safety Coordinator that thrives in a fast-paced work environment with a lot of variety. The right person for this job is dedicated, trainable, and puts the safety of others at the forefront of all they do.

This is a great entry-level role for someone to grow in and aid both the Safety Manager and the company by playing a key supporting role in cultivating a safety-focused workforce and overall culture. This role provides an opportunity for someone with foundational safety experience to branch out into a variety of daily challenges and tasks.

This is a full-time position that will have their time split between the field and office in Mendota Heights, MN.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist with orientation and onboarding
• Aid in submittal of bid prequalification forms
• Assist with inspections on fall protection, fire extinguishers, AED, etc.
• Monitor field training data
• Help promote a culture that encourages safe behavior for all team members and reinforces the achievement of safety goals and objectives.
• Monitor pre-task planning documentation and track frequency/accuracy
• Maintain PPE supply and refresh based on needs
• Assist with the completion of new employee check-ins
• Update Safety Incentive Program data collection regularly
• Assist with the inspection of traffic management on site using online forms
• Aid in the completion of Job Safety Analysis on multiple sites a week to further employee safety
• Assist with incident investigating and insurance reporting / claims management
• Other projects and duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• Construction / Risk Management experience and/or education highly preferred
• Experience with PowerPoint, Excel, and auditor safety software a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and presentation
• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365, including Word and Excel
• Strong self-awareness, interpersonal skills, and relationship-building abilities

Other Requirements: All candidates are required to pass a thorough Background Check, Physical and Drug Test. References will also be checked.

Job type: Seasonal / Full-Time Position (with potential to be year-round)

Work Location: Mendota Heights, MN / Field (50/50)
