Job description
University of Minnesota Medical Center is the flagship location for University of Minnesota Health, and is comprised of two hospitals and dozens of adult specialty clinics on both the East and West banks of the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis.
This location offers the widest range of hospital and clinical services provided through University of Minnesota Health. Complete services range from primary care, emergency care and the delivery of thousands of babies each year, to care of patients with the most complex conditions. Areas of specialization include solid organ and blood and marrow transplantation, heart disease and cancer.
This position works 40 hours every two weeks (0.5FTE) on the straight evening shift. These are 8 hour shifts from 1230-2100. This is a benefit-eligible position!

Greets customers in a polite, prompt, helpful manner. Provides any necessary instructions/directions. Inform appropriate person/department of person’s arrival
- Completes necessary paperwork such as encounter forms and parking validations. Uses computer system to generate information as required.
- Updates information, collects copays when appropriate, provides any necessary forms needing completion, obtains signatures as necessary.
- Maintains clean, orderly waiting area.
- Answers phones in a pleasant manner and deals with customer needs expeditiously.
- Supplements office staff as reception tasks permit by assisting with photocopying, computer input/typing, scheduling, and other work as directed.

Previous experience in customer service.
Preferred:

Prefer six months experience in a health care setting.
