Nationally recognized environmental remediation contractor (#3 in ENR in 2022) looking for an experienced Quality Control Manager to support a large Superfund project in Fairfield, New Jersey and adjacent Superfund project in South Plainfield, New Jersey. Our client on these projects are the US Army Corps of Engineers and US EPA agencies.

The two referenced Projects consists of large scale environmental remediation under the Superfund Program. The work for the first project includes demolition of a large building, installation of sealed sheet piling/shoring to prevent infiltration of groundwater, deep excavations of underlying soils and offsite transportation and disposal, dewatering of the excavation and water treatment and discharge, excavation around active 30” water lines, and backfill and restoration activities. The work for the second project includes a 60 CFS by-pass operation of a brook/creek allowing removal of the underlying sediment and soil, dewatering and water treatment operations, processing and offsite disposal of the removed sediment/soils, and extensive restoration activities including wetland restoration.

Sevenson has been in business for over 100 years, entering the environmental remediation market sector in 1979 performing the remediation at the first Superfund site ever – Love Canal. We have a huge program and great backlog of work.

This is not a Contract position. We hire our employees with the intent for them to retire at Sevenson.

The daily work will include:
Ensure compliance with the project plans and specs
Implement procedures and follow the Quality Control Plan (can assist in the development)
Review, approve, and submit all required submittals
Assist Project Manager in development of weekly meeting agendas, update USACE/USEPA on Quality Control status (submittals, deficiencies, inspections, progress)
Perform USACE 3-phase inspections (preparatory, initial, follow-up)
Produce and submit daily quality control reports and verification of contract compliance documents
Inspection of all construction/field activities
Tracking deficiencies and necessary corrective actions
Implementation of RMS (Resident Management System)
Coordination with the rest of the staff as necessary (Project Manager, Project Engineers, Project Chemist, Samplers, H&S Officers/Technicians, Air Monitoring techs, etc.)

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
10 years of experience in the Construction Industry on similar projects/work
Demonstrated experience in a Quality Control role
US Army Corps of Engineers QC training certification

SALARY/BENEFITS:
