Job Summary
The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for the daily execution of quality assurance tasks in the fulfillment center including product audits, QC checks, data entry and the control of non-conforming material.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducts daily audits of work in progress and finished product.
- Testing and calibration of tools used in fulfillment operations.
- Responsible for the disposition of non-conforming material on the shop floor.
- Conducts the monthly Clean Desk Audit for all departments in the Fulfillment Center.
- Coordinates with Customer Service to manage the hold and release of time-sensitive work.
- Gives immediate feedback to department supervisors when defects are discovered.
- Produces daily audit reports and other QA reports as directed by the General Manager.
- Attends daily production meetings with shop floor supervisors and managers.
- Participates in cross-functional teams and work groups focused on process improvement.
- Escalates critical issues that could impact quality to the GM.
- Perform any other designated tasks assigned by the GM.
Experience and Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
- At least 1 year of related experience
- Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and interact effectively with shop floor employees and all levels of management.
