Position: Public Health Nurse II – Behavioral Health & Clinic Nurse

Position No. 481-50-152

Salary Range: $50,971 - $75,243

Description: This nursing position primarily manages the Behavioral Health
Program, which is conducted heavily through telemedicine. Assessments and managing referrals to the psychiatrist and clinical social worker are routine functions. This position also works in clinics for both adults and children, performing assessments, treatments, and referrals as necessary. The employee must have excellent communication skills with professionals as well as patients.
Outreach and recruitment into the programs is expected.

Work Schedule: Hours are primarily Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with one hour for lunch.

Minimum Training and Experience: Graduation from a four-year college or university with a B.S. in Nursing which includes a Public Health Nursing rotation and one year of Public Health Nursing experience; or Master’s in Public Health and graduation from a school of professional nursing and one year of professional nursing experience; or graduation from a school of professional nursing and two years of professional nursing experience including one year of Public Health
Nursing experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Special conditions for employment: Prior to employment, the successful applicant will be asked to submit to pre-employment screenings. Applicants must possess a valid NC driver’s license.
