The Center for Learning and Autism Support Services, Inc. (CLASS) has an exciting opportunity for a Bachelor's Level candidate to gain exceptional experience working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis and providing services for children diagnosed with Autism. We are seeking a talented, energetic, professional candidate to join our dynamic and growing team.


CLASS is a well-established (20 years in the Bay Area), highly regarded and nationally recognized agency in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis, dedicated to using ABA evidence-based methodologies for the treatment of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). We are currently seeking individuals for new positions within our organization who are enthusiastic, passionate, and driven to learn and devote themselves to a fulfilling career in the field of Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis. You will need to be comfortable providing face-to face hours in a home setting, we are not clinic based.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Education or related field.
  • BCaBA preferred but not required.* Experience in DTT, PECS, TEACCH, PRT, and Verbal Behavior.
  • Two years of direct ABA care experience as a Behavior Therapist.
  • Experience in supervising multiple levels of staff, providing exceptional and individualized field training for all staff, provide mentoring to Behavior Therapists to support career advancement, conduct reviews and ongoing evaluations, individualize supervision style and communication to support a variety of learning styles and the ability to inspire, motivate, elevate and mentor individuals.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, extensive experience working with a wide variety of family systems, ability to participate and present clinical information and provide recommendations at a variety of funding meetings (i.e. PTM, IEP’s). Ability to provide positive feedback and constructive criticism, conduct interviews and reviews.
  • Displays clear and concise communication with executive staff, supervisory staff and therapists. Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor utilizing solution based language. Possess exceptional collaboration skills with colleagues and superiors to meet individual and corporate goals. Provides direct, honest and respectful solutions, strategies and opinions when working with the executive staff.
  • Excellent time management skills, experience managing caseload, and displays exceptional teamwork skills to create a positive work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide mentoring, supervision and support to clients via a minimum of once per week direct case management to identify areas of individual deficits and excesses, develop and implement individualized programs based on goals consistent with evidenced based ABA methodologies at the highest quality level. All programs should include systematic and organized program binders, timely implementation of goals and targets, probing and progression of lessons, collection of real time data and analysis, development and implementation of behavior intervention plans in accordance with best practices. Conduct clinic meetings as appropriate and ensure comprehensive dissemination of information to staff and families.
  • Meet with Chief Clinical Officer a minimum of one time per month to update on service information, identify “red flag” issues (i.e. terminations, significant increases in behavior excesses, plateaus or decline of lesson progression, staff problems), and general case oversight. Participate in clinical staff meetings and work as part of the team of Program Supervisors and in collaboration with Program Directors to meet the individual and corporate goals.
  • Ensure contracts and billable hours are completed in accordance with funding sources and designated amounts, oversee communication with families and funding sources to ensure program hours are attained (i..e absences make up), provide consistent and reliable case management and collaboration with families and teachers within funding requirements.
  • Effectively carry caseload with an increasing variety of ages, diagnosis and funding source requirements. Conduct initial and ongoing assessments under supervision and gaining mastery of a variety of protocols (i.e. ABBLS, VB-MAPP, BDI), develop and oversee implementation of evidence-based ABA programs consistent with program designs, conduct supervised Functional Behavior Assessments and Functional Analysis, develop, implement and provide ongoing modification and assessment of Positive Behavior Intervention Plans in accordance with best practices and ABA research.
  • Provide timely, accurate and clinically sound progress reports and conduct initial and ongoing meetings with funding sources and families (IEP’s, PTMS, Team Meetings) and ensure all programs effectively target short and long term goals, generalization and community integration.
  • Provide staff supervision including performance evaluations, corrective and disciplinary action, oversee Field Based Quality checks of therapists, monitor therapist adherence to policy and procedures, monitor and communicate with administrative staff in regards to staff absences, competencies and vacations.
  • Maintain all administrative records , client files and electronic files in accordance with corporate requirements including updated authorizations, contact and client information on Zimbra, collaborate with other Program Supervisors to ensure working environment and materials are organized and effective for staff.

Candidates MUST have reliable transportation, and a valid California Drivers license and insurance, as you are expected to drive as a requirement of the job. Employees must also be CPR certified and have a negative TB test and complete fingerprinting for our company.
