Job Responsibilities:


As a Project Designer 1 at The Crossroads Group, you will be part of a cohesive team of individuals working towards a common goal. That goal is to work collaboratively to provide our clients with the best possible work product and have fun while we're doing it. In your role as Project Designer 1, you will not only be responsible for the AutoCAD creation of wireless infrastructure project plans (among other deliverables), you'll add value by bringing your best to the table for the team. Your best is more than just technical skill – it's your approach to learning, communication, execution and problem solving. This position reports to the Project Manager and/or Team Lead. Your duties can include but may not be limited to:

  • Designing/drafting lease exhibits, zoning and construction drawings, site plans, and making redline corrections.
  • Attending site walks to collect data for small cell node drawings, new site builds, colocation new builds, modification to existing sites, along with different opportunities as we see technology change.
  • Communicating, collaborating, and coordinating with other team members regarding project status and schedule.
  • Ability to self-direct and prioritize workload enabling your team lead to mentor and coach you for growth.
  • Organization and attention to detail are necessary to quality deliverables and seamless teamwork.
  • Reviewing and analyzing client blueprints and/or informational documents.
  • to travel up to 20% of the time – to other offices and for work-related trips.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree, AutoCAD & Civil 3D Certification(s) or Work Experience Equivalent to
  • Associate degree or design experience in civil engineering, stormwater and E&S design preferred but not required
  • Capacity to keep calm in a high pressure, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work within and meet deadlines as outlined by the project manager or team lead
  • Must have working knowledge or greater of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
  • Previous wireless industry experience is highly desired but not required

Physical Demands/Requirements:

  • Frequently able to stand/walk for up to 8 hours outdoors for data collection and design visits
  • Sometimes outside in abnormally warm, cold or otherwise inclement weather
  • Occasionally able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
  • Able to work on a computer for 8+ hours regularly
