PROGRAM MANAGER – Children with Social and Emotional Difficulties (CSED)

OUR STORY

Palomar Family Counseling Service (PFCS) is one of the most recognized and respected providers of mental health services in North San Diego County. Established in 1956, PFCS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive services that professional, personal, and affordable. In addition to office-based clinical services such as individual, couples, or family therapy, PFCS offers services in schools, child development centers, and homes. PFCS also offers psychoeducation groups to treat domestic violence and anger management, as well as school-based prevention and early intervention services. Our main office is in Escondido and we have satellite offices in Vista and Fallbrook.

PFCS has an annual budget of over $5 million and a dedicated team of 80+ licensed and pre-licensed therapists, case managers, and administrative professionals. Each year we typically serve over 8,000 individuals. Our enduring mission is to support and strengthen children, youth, adults, families, school and communities. LEADERSHIP & CULTURE

Palomar Family Counseling Service is led by a dynamic leadership team dedicated to fostering a culture of autonomy, inclusivity, and growth. Lisa Turner, LCSW, has been with the organization over 20 years and has been the Executive Director since 2015. Our 15-member Board of Directors is comprised of North County residents with expertise in the fields of business, law, mental health, health care, and education.

POSITION SUMMARY

As the leader of the CSED Team the Program Manager will join an energetic and talented team of therapists, case managers and administrative personnel working collaboratively to deliver a comprehensive behavioral health and family support service to children, ages 0 to 5, and their families. The program offers counseling to address challenging behaviors and improve school readiness, coaching and support to improve parent-child relationships, and a full continuum of services to ensure family stability.

This position reports to the Executive Director.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Oversee delivery of behavioral health services to young children and their families using The Incredible Years ® model of social-emotional learning, including parent training.

· Clinical and administrative supervision of program staff.

· Accurate and timely documentation of all mental health services provided in accordance with County of San Diego standards.

· Outreach, consultation, and coordination of service delivery with child development centers and schools.

· Interview, recommend, and train new staff.

· Ensure achievement of and reporting on deliverables and outcomes.

LOCATION & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position is largely based in our Escondido location but requires travel throughout the North County area. While performing the tasks of this job, you are required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. You are frequently required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this

job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Driving is required, typically within North County San Diego. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

BACKGROUND PROFILE

· LCSW, LMFT, or Psy.D. licensed in the State of California.

· Five years related experience in clinical services, child, youth and family mental health services.

· Excellent understanding of early childhood mental health.

· Knowledge of and experience with issues of substance abuse, domestic violence, mental health and co-occurring disorders.

· Strong organization and prioritization skills with the ability to manage several priorities simultaneously with exceptional attention to detail, a positive attitude, and excellent follow-through.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and oral; ability to work effectively with a variety of individuals, families, and other stakeholders.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
