PRODUCTION PLANNER

Position Summary/Objective

Responsible for evaluating and implementing workflow through the El Paso manufacturing facilities. This role will have responsibility for overall El Paso planning accuracy and on time delivery by working closely with CCC sales, purchasing, engineering, and manufacturing. Position will include data analysis to determine material availability, production lead-time, and anticipated potential bottlenecks to ensure that CCC meets its customer needs.

Essential Functions

· Interact with manufacturing in Pan Am and Plaza to ensure that schedules are maintained, executed, and conducive to maintaining on time delivery of product.

· Communicate material shortages to the supply chain and keep customer service aware of any issues that will result in a missed customer delivery.

· Compare execution to plan, daily to ensure that any deviation is communicated and rectified.

· Maintain work orders to ensure that orders are closed as needed.

· Recommit late customer orders to customer service.

Actions/Expected Results

· Provide the best schedule possible to ensure production flow of wire and cable through the El Paso plants, keeping customer due dates in mind.

· Coordinate and monitor the flow of products throughout the plants to ensure on time delivery of products to achieve operational goals.

· Review material availability and release production orders in a timely manner to ship product on time. Ensure that each plant in El Paso has enough released work for 48 hours of continuous operation.

· Interact with manufacturing, customer service and purchasing to communicate plans, issues, and shortfalls.

· Communicate with management on the recommendations to best support our goal to meet customer dates.

· Provide insight into capacity, volume, workload, and raw material availability to anticipate possible bottlenecks.

· Provide Operations Management with recommendations on staffing and overtime that may be required to support shipment goals.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

No travel is expected for this position, except for possible training in Colchester, VT as needed.

Education and Experience:

· 3-5 years’ experience in planning or production control

· College degree is a plus, certification in APICS CPIM is also desirable

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
