SUMMARY: The Production Mananger oversees the manufacturing floral bouquets and arrangements to be delivered to retail stores. Ensures that manufacturing equipment and tools function properly and increase the production activities efficiency, consistently finding ways to improve the cooler and production processes and structures. Ultimately responsible for the smooth running of all production processes both on the cooler and production area. Works closely with team members to build strategies to maximize their performances. Production Manager will also collaborate with other departments and team members to set goals for the cooler and production team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Reviews production orders to ascertain product type.

· Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.

· Prepares and implements operational schedules.

· Coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications

· Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.

· Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.

· Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.

· Resolves worker grievances or submits unsettled grievances to Production Supervisors for action.

· Conducts performance reviews for assigned staff.

· Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data.

· Develops and implements cost saving measures.

· Contributes to profits and revenues.

· Develop and implement strategies to achieve organizational goals.

· Manages safety program.

INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

· Ensures the correct disposal of raw and dry materials.

· Oversees the ordering, storing, receiving, and distributing processes.

· Tracks and analyzes inventory maintenance

· End of the month’s inventory including throwaway and credits.

· Examines the levels of raw materials and supplies to determine shortages and proper rotation of the inventory.

· Implementation of new procedures to connect Macola/Web Flowers/Excel.

INFORMATION ANALYSIS

· Supervises non-supervisory employees. of hours, determines capacity for holidays and validates budget.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLILITES

· Manages subordinate supervisors who oversee employees in the Bouquet Marking, Arrangement Making, Wet-Pack and Pre-Production: Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of these units.

· Supervise non-supervisory employees.

· Responsible of supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations’ polices and applicable laws.

· Responsibilities include training, planning and assigning employees.

· Addresses complaints and resolves problems.

· Completes employee evaluations.

§ Proven experience as production manager.

§ Deep knowledge of production management.

§ Knowledge of Inventory Management procedures

§ Leadership skills and experience in managing employees.

§ Ability to utilize and expand team dynamics through effective coaching and mentoring

§ Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations.

§ Experience in reporting on key production metrics.

§ Knowledge of Microsoft excel (use of pivot tables) and other computer functions.

§ Prior knowledge of flowers preferred.

§ Excellent organizational skills.

§ Attention to detail.

§ Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach.

§ Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written – comfortable speaking in public

§ Strong interpersonal skills.

§ Exceptional follow-up and follow-through skills.

§ Excellent decision making and ability to negotiate, consult, collaborate with internal and external groups with the result being proper prioritization of deliverables.

§ Bilingual (English/Spanish).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
