General Job Description:

Looking for a qualified housekeeper who is responsible, hard-working, trustworthy, detail oriented, flexible, honest and reliable. Must be able to follow a daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedule and routine. Must be able to stand, squat, kneel, bend and be able to be on feet for long periods. Strong communication skills, and adhering to standard policies and procedures is a must.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Clean and Tidy All Areas of Home:

• Should be able to clean and tidy all assigned areas within a set timeframe, ensuring that certain cleanliness standards are met. This involves creating a daily task list and recording all services and rooms
• Sort clothing and other articles, load washing machines, and iron (when necessary) and fold dried items
• Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing and polishing when necessary
• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevator, laundry room, stairway, gym, office, and other house areas to maintain health standards and cleanliness
• Clean rugs, carpets, sweep floors, dust blinds, chandeliers, and window frames, tidy furniture, using vacuum, broom, mop and an occasional carpet cleaner
• Change all bedding weekly while disposing in appropriate laundry room basket to be replace with fresh clean linens
• Remove debris from driveway, garages and outdoor deck area
• Change and dispose of cat litter when necessary in outside receptacles
• Wash dishes and clean kitchen(s), cleaning utensils and, silverware
• Run errands such as taking laundry to dry cleaners

Check Stock Levels:

• Check the general supply levels and report items that are running low so they can be replaced. In each room, check the supplies of toiletries, linens, coffee and tea, etc., and replacing or restocking them if needed
• Empty and replace lining in all wastebaskets, and transport other trash and waste to outdoor trash receptacles
• Replace linens, towels, toilet paper and paper towels
• Communicate and/or maintain list of cleaning supplies, equipment & groceries needed to be restocked
• Replace light bulbs when needed

Maintain Equipment:

• Should be able to maintain and make sure cleaning equipment and supplies are working properly and correctly. Cleanliness and hygiene standards are important
• Should maintain duty to ensure that all equipment is well maintained and clean for future use
• Request repair services and wait for repair workers arrival when necessary
• Disinfect cleaning equipment and supplies

Qualifications:

• Physical Stamina

Housekeeping is a physically demanding job involving standing, walking, and stooping for long periods of time, and carrying laundry and supplies. Should have a good level of fitness is required to do this job long-term.

• Time-Management

Should be able to work independently, and required to complete a certain amount of cleaning in a set timeframe

• Professionalism

Should be courteous to household items and individuals in home. Good communication skills are a must

Attention to detail - the ability to work quickly without affecting the standard of the work completed and to follow task lists without missing anything are essential

Previous Work Experience & Key Competencies

• Prior Work experience as a Room Attendant or Maid, or Personal Housekeeper preferred
• Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and productsGood physical health and stamina

Has own transportation
Ability to work with little or no supervision while meeting daily requirements
Excellent organization skills
Ability to follow instructions
High school diploma is a plus

• 10 hour shift

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
