About the role:
Boston Scientific believes that to grow our business, we must grow our people. The principal Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for design and delivery of key projects in the talent development arena. Projects will enhance the overall employee experience, there will be key partnerships with other COEs and with the business Talent Management teams who have the primary responsibility for the partnering interface with each business HR team.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Design of talent development solutions including collaboration with internal subject matter experts and/or cross-functional teams for content development. May also work to identify external programs, resources and vendors that specifically meet talent development needs.
  • Identify and drive key improvements in the effectiveness and accessibility of existing processes and solutions
  • Act as a key contributor to technology implementation programs that impact the service delivery of talent processes and products.
  • Evaluate and measure the effectiveness of talent management programs and use data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with our HR and business teams, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • May lead, manage or participate on cross-functional teams to continuously improve talent development systems and processes.
  • May be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle management of a learning solution, project, program or set of programs.
  • Champion diversity, equity and inclusion within the Talent Management processes.
  • Demonstrate the linkage between organizational development and human capital return-on-investment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Advanced degree in a HR, TM, OD or other related fields is an advantage.

Preferred Experience:

  • Demonstrated thought leadership and passion for championing new ideas and approaches in talent management and employee experience with a focus on driving continuous improvement through rigorous evaluation.
  • Designed and executed talent management strategies which resulted in positive impact.
  • Demonstrated accountability, visibility, and continuous improvement in talent management activities through the use of effective metrics and analytical insights.
  • Experience of designing tools, programs and processes and/or consulting with HR teams and business leaders in the areas of Talent Review and Succession Planning, Performance Management, Change Management, Organizational Development, Enterprise Talent Movement, Coaching & Exec Assessments, Employee Engagement, Org/Team design & effectiveness and Enterprise Learning & Development.
  • Commitment to self-development and a demonstrated passion for staying current on external talent and workforce trends.
