Job Summary:SURESTAFF is immediately hiring Machine Operators (Press Brake Operators) for a client in West Chicago, IL. The Machine Operator (Press Brake Operator) would produce parts and tools from metal using a press brake, a computer numeric controlled (CNC) piece of equipment that makes precision bends.

Responsibilities of the Machine Operator ( Press Brake Operator) :
- Operates Computer Numerical Control (CNC) on respective AMADA brand equipment
- Performs machine set-ups, adjusting and loading tooling, and making changes at the controls for
parts as required for specifications set forth in blueprints, drawings, engineering orders, etc. - Check parts for conformance to prescribed tolerances
- Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and/or materials to Supervisor or Quality
Control Specialist (QC) - Setup and operate machines, independently with limited supervision
- Ensure the work area is kept clean and free from hazards
- Collaborate with other departments as needed
- Assist in departmental measurable goals relating production concerns, quality and efficiency
- Assist in monthly inventory count to ensure proper inventory control
- Actively look for ways to improve the profitability and productivity of the company
Required Qualifications of the Machine Operator ( Press Brake Operator) :
- Ability to read measuring equipment (dial calipers, bar micrometer, squares and protractors)
- Ability to read blueprints and calculate bend allowances
- Lift up to 50 lbs. routinely
- Ensure and verify parts match to customer drawings
- High School diploma or GED
- Cad or drafting experience a plus
- Must have Press Brake Experience (1-2 years minimum experience) (Amada experience preferred)
- Experience with Amada HDS, HG Press Brakes or Cincinnati Press Brakes a plus
