Personal Care Workers needed in Antigo, WI

Sunday through Saturday. 7 a.m.-10 a.m.

Saturday & Sunday. Noon-12:30 p.m., 5 p.m.-6:30 p.m. & 8 p.m.-9:30 p.m.

Bowel Program and Hoyer experience preferred or willing to learn.

PERSONAL CARE WORKER: Provide confidential services to physically or developmentally disabled individuals and/or frail elderly consumers in their home with the goal of maximizing their independence for as long as possible.

DUTIES: Personal Care Worker (PCW) will be trained in the provision of personal care services and in each skill that the PCW is assigned, which can include but not limited to: Assistance with bathing; toileting, including use of bedpan, urinal, commode or toilet; dressing and undressing; mobility and ambulating, including use of walker, cane and crutches; transfers, including bed to chair or wheelchair and reverse; changing of consumer(s) bed; laundering of bed linens and consumer(s) personal clothing; skin care (excluding wound care); care of eyeglasses and hearing aids; light cleaning in essential areas of home during personal care activities; meal preparation and meal serving. Promptly reports changes in the consumer's condition to the designated R.N. Case Manager. Completion of all time sheets and documentation necessary to maintain program services in a thorough, accurate, and timely manner. Maintain confidentiality of consumer's information.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Familiar with the philosophy and concepts of independent living required

Ability to understand and carry out consumer instructions required

Ability to relate well to others required

Good communication skills required

Good past employment references required

Ability to: regularly sit, stand, and walk; use hands and fingers, handle, and feel; reach with hands and arms; bend; squat; twist and talk or hear; occasionally lift and/or move individuals using transferring techniques or assistive technology/equipment. Completion of interview and training conducted by PAS staff required

Effective means of transportation to the work site required.

Satisfactory Criminal Background results required. Results based on relevance to position and in compliance with state and federal regulations for personal care workers.
