This Per Diem-Care Companion will be responsible for:
- Providing constant safety observation and care for a patient identified to be at risk to themselves, others and/or are in need of protective services, following established procedures and instructions under the direct supervision of a registered nurse in accordance with the individualized needs of the patient.
- Observing patients for changes in behavior and/or condition, and reporting pertinent information to RN.
- Maintaining a safe environment, accompanying patients to other departments throughout the hospital and maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
- Assisting with Activities of Daily Living and performs vital signs as directed by the RN.
- Completing patient care documentation and administrative duties.
- A High School level of education or equivalent.
- Clinical Assistant Certification preferred.
- 1 year CA experience, CNA certification, or Nursing Student with at least one clinical rotation.
- Availability to work at least 4 shifts in a 6 week period including at least 1 evening, 1 night and 2 weekend shifts
