MUST:
Experienced Payroll Supervisor
3+ years of experience as a Payroll Supervisor
3+ years of experience as a finance manager in healthcare
Experience working with Excel and preparing spreadsheets
Experience in dealing with multiple projects
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to communicate effectively
High level of initiative and ability to work independently
Ability to clearly communicate and apply policies and principles to solve every-day problems and deal with a variety of situations
Ability to plan, exercise initiative, problem-solving, decision-making
Ability to read, interpret, and apply clinic policies and procedures
Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions
Ability to establish priorities and coordinate work activities
Bachelors degree from four-year college or university

DUTIES:
Enters and calculates payroll accurately; meets payroll deadlines; resolves payroll discrepancies.
Handles the maintenance of payroll records, logs, and files in accordance with company policy, and state and federal laws and regulations.
Oversees faculty timesheet management and leave use monitoring policies and procedures including FMLA.
Reviews and processes faculty/staff time records and time off requests.
Supervises and coordinates fiscal and calendar year-end processing of payroll, including supplemental payrolls, W-2 and other tax forms, and other government required documentation.
Oversees processing of payroll check exceptions and court ordered deductions.
Evaluates and analyzes existing payroll policies, procedures, and business processes.
Enforces established payroll related policies.
Performs research and creates reports as requested.
Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
Remains current to new legislation and regulatory ruling impacting payroll.
Enforces adherence to requirements and advise management on required actions.
Works closely with Director of Finance to assist internal and external auditors during process by providing documents, reports, and other payroll-related reports upon request; implements procedural changes recommended by auditors.
Acts as liaison to employees by answering questions, aiding, and facilitating resolution.
Perform other duties as assigned.
