Job Description
The Owl Media Editor serves as editor for the HCC Owl Magazine. Duties include writing and editing magazine articles; reviewing edition content; overseeing publication production; other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia; non-residents are expected to relocate to meet this requirement.

Required Education
High school diploma or GED equivalent and at least six college credits.
Required Experience
Candidates must have at least two semesters of Owl Magazine staff experience. Equivalent technical training, education, and/or experience may be considered.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Excellent writing and editing skills and strong communication skills, and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience creating and/or publishing content for social media.
