Why be an Overnight Bakery Packer?

Our overnight bakery packers play an essential role at Macrina. We rely on our packers to ensure our fresh-baked products are quickly and accurately packed by invoice by route, ready for our in-house delivery team. Without our packers, we could not deliver to our hundreds of wholesale customers.

DETAILS

• $18/hr., starting wage.*
• Overnight shift (9PM-5AM).
• Weekends and holidays required.
• Full time (40 hours, 8-hour shifts).

*First raise opportunity at 3 months, then every 6 months.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Pick and pack baked goods by invoice by route.
• Pack product efficiently, accurately and carefully.
• Use bags, boxes, and stackers accordingly.
• Label orders with customer code and route.
• Clean work area, equipment and bakery floor.
• Follow all food safety requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to work an overnight shift.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays. (Busiest in Nov/Dec.)
• Ability to be flexible with scheduling. (Days off can change.)
• Ability to work and move quickly.
• Ability to stand for a full 8-hour shift.
• Ability to lift 35-40 lbs., occasionally.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Ability to work independently as well as collectively.
• Ability to remain energetic, supportive, and accountable.
• Ability to get a Washington State Food Worker Card.
• Ability to remove all visible piercings (for food safety).
