We are looking for a Mental Health Therapist to provide individual and group therapy to individuals with persistent mental illness. The Therapist will be a member of a treatment team that provides therapy and case management services to individuals.

General responsibilities include:

• Serves as the primary therapist and treatment coordinator for a mixed caseload of persistently mentally ill patients

• Provides individual, group, and/or family therapy as needed

• Under the supervision of a psychiatrist assists in the monitoring of the prescribed use of psychotropic medication

• Treatment planning

• Obtaining Authorizations

• Provides information to patients and their families concerning the appropriate use of the Center’s services and available community resources

• Provides information to community residents, groups and organizations regarding services and programs available at the Center

• Provides some case management services as needed to their patients

Requirements: Maryland license in Counseling or Social Work (LMSW, LGPC, LCSW-C, LCPC)

Education: Master’s Degree in Counseling/Clinical Psychology or Social Work

Experience:

• Internship/Field Placement experience

• Providing counseling to individuals and groups (Adults and Children)

• Completing psychosocial assessments/diagnostics

• Great organizational skills

• Ability to work as a team member in a fast paced environment

• Therapy experience with Children and Adolescents is a plus
