A Brand-New Opportunity for an Operations Strategy role within our McKinney Consolidated Manufacturing Center (CMC)!!

This role will work as part of the Site Strategy Factory team and will be involved in activities to align site strategy across McKinney factories. This position requires a highly motivated individual contributor with leadership skills who will be fully engaged at all functional organizations.

The successful candidate will influence teams to work collaboratively and help deliver strategic recommendations to senior leadership. The Operations Strategy will typically lead multiple projects simultaneously.

The selected candidates will have a strong background in factory processes and lean manufacturing. Work closely with facilities, industrial engineering, and all factory personnel. Must be effective in driving results with indirect reporting relationships, working both independently and as the lead on cross-functional teams. Needs to be solutions-oriented, with an ability to identify and understand organizational impacts of factory and business strategy.

Main responsibilities:

  • The Strategy Specialist will work as part of the Site Strategy Factory team and will be involved in activities to align site strategy across McKinney factories.

  • The successful candidate will lead teams to work collaboratively and help deliver strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

  • The Strategic Planning Specialist will typically lead multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Candidates will have a strong background in factory processes and lean manufacturing.

  • Work closely with facilities, industrial engineering, and all factory personnel.

  • Must be effective in driving results with indirect reporting relationships, working both independently and as the lead on cross-functional teams. Needs to be solutions-oriented, with an ability to identify and understand organizational impacts of factory and business strategy.

  • Work manufacturing plans to establish factory current states and plan for future growth.

  • Manage site strategy projects across factory areas. Identify/manage site improvement initiatives to increase effectiveness of manufacturing areas.

  • Study processes and product improvements to help align McKinney’s factory of the future.

  • Work cross-functionally on factory front end of business, setting up new areas.

  • Participating in and lead continuous improvement projects across McKinney Site

  • Present and report status on key milestones/deliverables to senior leadership

  • Monitor ongoing efforts and results and compare to baseline analysis.

  • Support the development of financial implications / return on investment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Manufacturing, Operations, and a strong background in factory processes and lean manufacturing.

  • Proven works cross-functionally on factory front end of business, setting up new areas.

  • Must have experience presenting and report status on key milestones/deliverables to senior leadership.

  • Will be required to monitor ongoing efforts and results and compare to baseline analysis.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data and information to convey a concise message to team members, leadership, and other relevant parties with high competence in managing projects and meeting deadlines.

  • Experience with Microsoft applications to include excel and analytical tools such as SAP or like systems.

  • Must be a US Citizens as only US Citizens is eligible for security clearance.

  • Must be a US Citizenship as the position does require the ability to access US only data systems.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Six Sigma Qualified

  • Lead continuous improvement projects.

  • Understanding and demonstrated use of Earned Value Management (EVMS).

Education Requirements: Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years' experience.
