We are looking for Off-Shift Production Supervisors on 2nd and 3rd shifts. The Production Supervisor directly supervises 15 – 25 employees in the production process. Production supervisor carry out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participates in training to produce a quality product / services, uses preventative measures to ensure the customer requirements and company standards are met.
• Comply with legal and other requirements to avoid injury and/or ill health to themselves and others.
• Understands preventative measures and creates a safe and healthy environment by having the ability to identify potential emergency situations and reports all incidents to supervisor/ manager.
• Adhere to the facility’s quality, environmental, health and safety policies and procedures that are identified by the company management systems.
• Responsibilities include; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Exemplary Attendance is required.
• Works closely with Logistics and the previous shift supervisor’s in scheduling and monitoring the flow of quality production parts from start to finish in all areas of the manufacturing plant.
• Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
• Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, and/or employees.
• Approving time cards and overtime.
• Working scheduled overtime along with shift team members is required.

EDUCATION: High School Diploma required with additional technical schooling; Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred. Three years’ related experience and/or training required; Union environment preferred.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports for business correspondence and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
• Ability to use computers with solid working knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
