Job description
The Sales Audit Assistant reconciles sales and tender information for our stores. Primary responsibilities are to ensure that sales are properly recorded, cash received by stores is timely deposited into our bank accounts, and charge card tenders are properly paid by our card processor.
Responsibilities
- Compare and validate deposits against bank records
- Balance tenders to daily sales
- Post and validate adjustments
- Monitor store compliance with sales and deposit procedures
- Identifies errors by problem solving and analyzing data
- Reconcile sales at month-end
- Miscellaneous filing and processing of paperwork
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Ability to work effectively with fellow employees and other departments, management, stores and customers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Organized, accurate and able to meet deadlines
- Must be able to maintain high level of confidentiality.
- Ability to consistently follow up on open items and complete tasks, both large and small
