The Night Audit, Moonlight Enthusiast role is crucial to the overall success of the Welcome Desk and the entire hotel operation. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Happily greet customers when they pass through the lobby
  • Champion the use of POSITIVELY YOURS and CREATING A POSITIVE STAY
  • Balance room, restaurant, and bar work daily.
  • Post and balance charges and settlements in a timely and efficient manner
  • Run audit reports/journals from the front office system, point of service
  • Make corrections and adjustments and handle all computer problems that might occur throughout the shift
  • Input into the front office system revenue, expenses, and allowances to generate the daily reports such as the Guest Ledger Summary and the Daily Restaurant Summary
  • Balance all revenue and settlement accounts nightly, maintain files and reset the system for next day operations
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned
  • Register arriving guests, assign guests rooms based on the preferences outlined in their reservation and provide them with keys to their room
  • Check guests out of the hotel on the correct departure date
  • Answer telephone calls with a kind and appropriate greeting, answer guest questions and offer information and assistance regarding hotel services
  • Make reservations
  • Make sure all reservations are balanced for check-out
  • Communicate with other departments to fulfill guest needs
  • Verify all shift work and deposits
  • Must have complete knowledge of emergency procedures
  • Respond to guest concerns and resolve issues
  • Monitor status of guest accounts
  • Update information and guest profiles in the computer systems as needed
  • Follow the checklist for required duties and timelines

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Must be friendly, energizing, positive and caring in all core aspects of the Canopy culture as defined.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and nametag
  • Able to communicate effectively and clearly
  • Demonstrate good computer skills
  • Accurately handle cash and post charges
  • Knowledge of OnQ desired

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 per hour
