Set Solutions is partnering with one of our clients in search of a Network Engineer in a direct-hire FTE role in Secaucus, NJ. This person will be assisting clients of this service provider troubleshooting network issues as well as performing upgrades and refresh projects.

What You Will Do

• Troubleshoot network problems; schedule upgrades; network hardware refresh projects; perform network analysis and optimization.
• Working experience with the following routing protocols: OSPF, EIGRP & BGP in an enterprise environment.
• Perform Firewall Configuration and Monitoring on Palo Alto Platform
• Working experience with Cisco Wi-Fi Controllers and Access Points
• Working with enterprise and datacenter networking with a focus on Cisco and Arista switches, Cisco Routers, and wireless controllers.
• Client VPN Platforms including Global Protect and OpenVPN
• Maintain Inventory of network and telecom devices.
• Provide Tier 3/ Escalation support of network infrastructure issues reported to the network group and follow up as needed.
• Ability to create high quality diagrams and network documentation for network design, implementation, and support processes.
• As an IT Professional, you may be asked, as new business needs arise, to accept additional tasks and responsibilities within the department, besides those detailed in this job description.

Requirments:

• Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science or Electrical Engineering) or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• 5+ years of Network Design and Operational experience required.
• Experience with Palo Alto or related Firewalls preferred.
• Experience with Cisco and Arista network switches is highly preferred.
• Experience working with telco/service providers.
• Experience with Cisco wireless technology and LAN controllers; Cisco Prime and Cisco ISE would be desirable.
• Ability to Rack and Stack Network Devices including cable management in a Data Center / Server Room environment.
• Experience working with Windows Servers and Networking
• Experience in Azure Networking
• Telecom support experience (Mitel) is a plus.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals as they relate to enterprise networks including but not limited to TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, ARP
• Knowledge of VPNS – site to site, IPsec, tunnels modes and remote access vpns.
• Significant experience of Layer 2 switching protocols (STP,HSRP,VLAN, etc).
• Significant experience of Layer 3 routing protocols (OSPF,BGP,EIGRP).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
