Our work and development efforts take place at Princeton, Penn, Harvard, Harvard Law, Yale, Brown, Columbia, Dartmouth, Cornell, and Stanford University, as well as in New York City and Washington, DC.This is a full-time, exempt, salaried position.

About the Position

Join an enthusiastic team passionately involved in a seeking God lifestyle. Christian Union seeks an assertive, driven, tenacious individual to serve as a Ministry Operations Director. The Ministry Operations Director serves as a right hand to the Vice President of Universities and is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations for the university division, hands-on execution, detailed planning, and strategic communication. This includes managing staff, developing programs, and raising funds.

Salary: $60,000-$80,000 annually

Benefits: Paid employee medical coverage; voluntary vision, dental and retirement plans are also available. Paid time off includes vacation, sick, and holidays.

Reports to: Adrian Schoonmaker, Vice President, Christian Union Universities

Location: Remote

Hours: Full-Time Exempt (must be available M-F 9:00-5:30 ET)

Travel: Some travel required – approximately 20 days per year

Job Duties

  • Embody Christian Union’s mission, statement of faith, and statement of ethics.
  • Assist with the annual strategic planning process including evaluation of ministry performance; development of key objectives and tactics; and establishment of three-year goals.
  • Collect and analyze the identified key performance measures (KPMs) that provide the executive leadership with ongoing visibility of the effectiveness and growth of the ministry.
  • Develop reports to communicate status and capacity building efforts for all ministries.
  • Facilitate and prepare for the Vice President’s meetings with the CEO, executive leadership, and senior faculty.
  • Assist with recruiting and training faculty for all nine ministries.
  • Serve as the point of contact to and from the Vice President.
  • Coordinate with other members of the ministry staff to ensure that all daily aspects of the ministry are running smoothly.
  • Seek relationships with new donors, support fundraising efforts, and ensure superior donor stewardship.
  • Help implement new programs, activities, and initiatives for the ministry.
  • Help evaluate the success of programs in order to make adjustments where needed.
  • Provide concrete direction, development, and training to employees, and also prays for their direct reports on a regular basis.
  • Resolve conflict on team appropriately.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Passion for Christian Union’s vision and mission
  • 5–7 years of experience in people and operations management
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required, MBA preferred

  • Approachable to diverse pastors, Christian leaders, donors, and community members
  • Proficient with spreadsheets and all Google Workspace products
  • Superior database development and data analysis skills

  • Organized, proactive, and attentive to detail
  • Strong program and project management skills
  • Proven team leader and ability to create and maintain cohesive, motivated teams
  • Ability to see, understand, and project a larger strategic vision

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
