Job description
Internal Medicine Office in Ellicott City is looking for an EXPERIENCED Medical Scribe to work closely with our physician. The candidate requires strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy and must have excellent typing skills to ensure accuracy and timely documentation of the medical chart.
Qualifications and Skills required for this position include:
- Transcribing into the EMR Updates of patient history, History of present illness, review of symptoms, physical exam findings, diagnostic assessment, and plan of care as dictated by provider during the patient visit.
- Document results of laboratory and radiographic studies as discussed by provider.
- Refill any patient prescriptions as directed by the provider.
- Assists in facilitating lab orders and diagnostic tests, as well as referrals to medical specialists under the supervision of the medical provider.
- Enter billing information as determined by the type of office visit and as directed by the provider.
- Communicate and interact professionally with others.
- Treat all information and data utilized with complete confidentiality and security in compliance with governing HIPAA regulations.
This is an in person position.
MUST HAVE MEDICAL SCRIBE EXPERIENCE OF NO LESS THAN 1 YEAR OR MORE.
