Highland Woods Health is seeking a highly motivated medical assistant to join our team.

As a Medical Assistant in our practice, you will function as a champion of patient care, you can do everything from patient charting to preparing exam/treatment rooms to giving injections and assisting the physician. The Medical Assistant also functions as a health and safety leader to ensure patients receive high quality, patient-centered care.

  • Assists in the collection of patient/family data information per practice protocol
  • Collects and documents vital signs, height/weight and reason for visit with 100% accuracy
  • Prepares patient for examination per practice protocol
  • Contact patients to go over test results and medication refills
  • Assists provider, as directed, during treatments, examinations and testing as directed by provider and within scope of practice
  • Administers medication and immunizations as directed by physician per practice protocol
  • Documents administration of medication and immunizations in the medical record per practice protocol
  • May apply splints, dressings and bandages.
  • Perform EKG's
  • Provide outstanding patient care with amazing professionalism

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Graduation from a medical assistant program
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, starting at 6:45am
  • Comfortable and confident working with pediatric patients

Compensation: Negotiable
